"The harder I work, The luckier I get!"
The Wildcats under new head coach Jeff Briard and former head coach, now assistant coach Gary Walworth
had a great 04-05 season. The team had a final record of 15-11 and advanced to the Final Four in the Section 4A team
tournament. The team lost a heartbreaker to rival Wabasso 35-30 to end the team part of the season. Individually
the Wildcats sent four guys to the state tournament for the second year in a row and the fourth time in Wildcat history.
Those individuals included Seniors Kevin Widmer who got third place (5-1), Brady Augustin (0-1), Casey Domeier (0-1), and
Freshman Luke Amsden who finished 2nd (3-1). The team loses five seniors from this years team, but Coach Briard doesn't
believe the team will be "rebuilding" next year, rather "reloading".
